Eligibility Criteria For Applying For CPL

The candidate must be 18 years of age when submitting the final application for CPL. This means all the eligibility criteria below can be completed prior to attaining the age of 18.
The candidate must be Class 12th pass (with Physics & Maths) from a recognized Central or State Board. If Physics and/or Maths were not taken in Class 12th, these can be cleared through the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) via their On Demand Exam System.
The candidate must have passed the following exams conducted by DGCA:
- Air Navigation
- Air Regulations
- Meteorology
- Technical General
- Technical Specific (for each aircraft the candidate intends to operate)
The candidate should have passed the RTR (A) exam conducted by WPC and hold a valid FRTOL issued by DGCA.
The candidate should have passed the English Language Proficiency (ELP) Test conducted by centres/examiners designated by DGCA.
The candidate should have a valid Class-I medical fitness certificate issued by DGCA, and should have completed 200 hours of flying.

What is the difference between PPL and CPL? Which one do I need?

How hard are the DGCA CPL theory exams and how should I prepare?
